    This is a fairly new car. This is having major drive train problems and out of warranty 56,000 miles. Hondai is saying tough luck. Lafontaine is wanting $1200.00 dollars to fix the timing chain. The parts are warranty for 60,000 miles or 5 years which ever come first. The car is 5 years 4 months old. So Im 4 months out of warranty. Both Lafontaine 2027 Telegraph Detroit Mi and Hondai Motors are saying tough luck pay the money if you want your car fixed. Bring us the money or come get your car fixed.     Can I ask how this company can send out a collection letter after being only 3 days late? My payment was due February 13, 2010 (a Saturday). On February 16, 2010, which technically was the next business day, they sent me a collection letter in a manila envelope like I was a criminal. I believe we have a 10-day grace period (til Feb. 23, 2010), so how can they send this? I believe that this is a horrible practice. I have had this loan for almost 2 years and while I've been a couple of weeks late normally, this goes beyond horrible. Should I report them to the banking commissioner... More...

2009 Hyundai Santa Fe - 78,000 miles

Overhead light console does not work w/ door switch but will work when manually switched on. Talked to 2 local dealers and sent a note to Hyundai "Customer Service" online. Hyundai won't replace. Dealers want $235 for replacement - Just replaced (under warranty) at 35,000 miles. Very irritating to not have interior lights when entering the vehicle at night.

I own a 2011 elantra that blows blue smoke out the exhaust upon acceleration.I have contacted Hyundai and taken it to Chapman hyundai and was told that there is no problem.Obviously your warranty is not worth crap because you won't fix anything.I'm at the point where I am considering contacting an attorney.
